I didn't even have to yell at him either..
I just realized something. I never turned the tv on so I could listen to the news.
It is nice when they become old enough to get themselves up. I think it was about 6th grade for my daughters.
Only reason he is up so he can play a game (he gets 15 minutes, period) before he goes to school. If I said xbox was off limits before school, he'd get up at the last minute and we'd be late. SO it's really a win for me, he's up, awake and dressed when it is time to leave. and the best part is I don't have to fight him about it
