Yes , i ripped up the carpet in the dinning room and living room - there was hard wood floors under the carpet , so now i need to have them sanded and refinished .

I don't know. I take the bus. Be very thankful that you can drive and are not forced to take public transportation. I spent 2 hours 45 minutes coming home from a restaurant last night on the bus.
