    My internet is fixed for a while. The ATT tech found a bad line that runs under the road about a 1/4 mile from my house. He said he switched pairs but the line needs replaced. He put in a order to replace but told me ATT wont replace it until it completely goes bad.

    Not that I know of. What he said was happening, and it makes sense, that the one pair was slowly degrading the signal and everytime I hard reset the modem I would get a decent signal for a short while then start degrading again.

    I am at the length limit for a DSL connection and knew that when I signed up years ago. Guess there arent enough people living on this road to warrant any upgrades ot the infrastructure.
