Yup, with the wait I'd have to go though for powder and primer it wouldn't be in time. I have a couple places I can check local for them, but would still have to order bullets. No one around has the kind I want.


So far my best bet on loaded ammo is on Cabelas with HSM 180 Gr Lead Flat nose with gas checks. $34.99 for 50 rds. At least that's the best price I've found so far.

Use full metal jacket bullets, I've heard horror story's about anything else not penetrating! or with the 12gage I would use the full copper sabots!

Yeah I'm trying to find either loaded ammo with 180 gr solid lead bullets running around 1300 fps or faster. I've found some but they are pretty pricey! So now I'm in the search for components locally

Solid lead will not penetrate the skull or breast plate, I have read numerous story's about that you want FMJ for bear.
