It means one thing, I have been grinding my teeth all day and the TMJ pain is coming out in my ear... so I feel your pain

I had TMJ back 5 or 6 years ago so bad my jaw wouldn't open more than 1/2 inch. I had an orthodontist make me a bite guard type appliance and as soon as I put them i the pain went away. I wore them constantly for months. Now I only have to wear them occasionally.

I only normally have to wear them at night.... haven't had to wear them for a few mths, now today, it just flared up. feels like my ear drum is about to pop

Vicodin then bed I think.... it's all that touches the pain

He did wake up feeling a bit better. It's his allergies that have gotten to him.
