    It's not suprising.

    It didn't last long thought.
    The US embassy is located just next to many French offical buildings so you always have lots of police and military forces parked in the streets around.
    They got there in no time and blocked the protesters before they even got to the streets surrounding the embassy.
    They were just 150 or so and many got arrested.

    Looks like those idiots didn't know Paris very well.
    They ran away from the US embassy to try to escape to the police and took the street that goes right in front of the Presidential Palace located just a block away.

    I just checked on Google Map, I didn't know the Presidential Palace and the US Embassy were that close.
    The Ministry of the Interior is right at the corner too.
    It's also right next to The Louvre Museum and other very touristic buildings so you have hundreds of cops all year around everywhere in all those streets.

    Last place in the country where I would run away from the police or try to start a riot. :rolleyes:
