I'm picking the belt up tomarrow after work, I hope I get it put back on Friday morning. I have my fingers crossed the transmission is ok after getting hot.:dunno:

How would losing a belt make the transmission get hot? Does the engine water pump provide some kind of transmission cooling on that car?

It drives the water pump, I didn't see that when I put it on:n00b: duh! the transmission started slipping fast after the belt broke. I had not noticed it slip before, so I hope it just boiled/blew fluid out:dunno: if the tranny is gone the car is probably scrap!:(

:yesway: I know one too, I'm not sure how much we could justify putting into it!:dunno:

If it comes to that, I'd bet that you and I could get the job done. It might take longer but as long as we have the right parts and the right books, I know we could do it. I owe you some "auto repair" time anyway!
