In all fairness, Eminem is by many estimates the greatest rapper to ever walk the face of this earth. Definitely in the top 5.

I can appreciate the rappers that actually have skill and that artfully craft their words and phrases cleverly. I HATE many of the "artists" today that can't do anything other than write a hook. 'Lil John, Soldier Boy and FloRida suck, for example.

Different generations Greg, I can't stand more than about 30 seconds of rap. Pink Floyd, Led Zepplin, Skynard or the Eagles, I can listen all day.

I rarely listen to lyrics at all. Most of the time I can't understand what anyone is saying. I'm not a huge music buff though. That's prolly why. I listen to mostly rock by choice, but I can listen to just about anything.
