um, the tracks in Indy get no subsidies from the state.

They reimburse IMPD for the cost of traffic control and other things. Because IMS is the biggest tax payer in the town of Speedway they do get a lot of say in development in the area. (i.e. the 16th ST redevelopement.) I am only talking about the track not other companies that are directly associated with racing. (Delara...*cough* *cough* they got property tax breaks)
