Haha, I kid you not, I was going to say polysyllabic and didn't, because I was worried people WOULD say, "huh?" and then get offended, embarrassed, etc.

The US already has a major problem where intelligence is not valued. The "smart kids" in schools are routinely bullied until they learn to "act dumb". Shows like Jersey Shore are in their 5th season while educational science programs can't even get funding. Football beats out academics on every single occasion. Pretty much every other first-world country is destroying us on education. I refuse to dumb myself down just because someone else might have trouble understanding me. Their inability to read is not my problem.
