Once I get started, I just don't like interrupting my shooting to replace a broken part.

If I had a $2000 Colt, I might feel different, but I have an $700 PSA plinker. Worst case, I burn up an upper that's $400. As long as the existing upper lasts 3000-4000 rounds I'm money ahead.
