    Dont listem to him!
Get some range time, it's the more important.
It's ridiculous to have fancy upgrades in your gun if your shooting skills suck.
People cant buy skills so instead they always find more crap to add to their gun.
But what you can buy is ammo to practice and become a better shot.

If a part is working fine, and not broken, they is no need to get a new one.
Unless you have money to throw away.

    Just my :twocents:

    Don't listen to this guy!

Are you just talking about the ammo that you can shoot at the range or do you keep a supply of 5.56 that you dont shoot and save for emergencies?

I guess a warning shot is out of the question if you had to use your AR for self defense then. :D

I always have keep some ammo besides my "range shootable ammo" that I dont shoot.

I did have 4 mags that I wasn't planning on shooting, but.........

I ran into an AR armorer at the range and we were diagnosing and fixing my AR so we used it all up.

You should keep some ammo for emergency use only.
It doesn't have to be a crazy stockpile of thousands of rounds for WW3.
Just some rounds so that your 15 does not become an overpriced club if you ever have to use it and you shot all you ammo at the range the day before.
I keep a few hundreds rounds in a sealed box, away from my range ammo, if I have no more range ammo I dont take the ammo from the other box.
I dont shoot or get more ammo.

Also get an AK, it's easier to diagnos when it stops shooting. ;)
Remove the mag, see that it's empty, and put a new one in. :):

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like I said, I had 4 mags loaded. I didn't even bring my AR to the range that day. I went home and got it real quick when the armorer said he'd take a look at it. My 9mm AR could cover my ass.:D
