    for someone who has never touched our handled a gun in their life it is a good primer on what not to do. But nothing beyond that.

    I would say a basic handgun class then, not specifically the NRA one. I'd rather take a basic handgun class from a defensive school or a competition school and NOT the NRA. I'm sure you're paying for the fact its an "NRA" course and you'll pry get more out of your training dollars somewhere else. :twocents:

    hence the follow up that said you could interchange it with ACT's basic pistol class.:cool:

    Or any other good training schools basic pistol class. I just use the NRA class because it is the most recognizable name. Kind of like the wal-mart of the gun world.

    On the plus side, I don't have time to call Paetec now. On the minus side, it's because I had to unbox a little over a $100,000 worth of networking gear and start doing initial configuration and burn-in. Nothing I like better when I'm already sleepy is to start humping $8,000 cardboard boxen around.
