There was over 20,500 posts in the last thread(20,519 IIRC, because I looked to see how long they let that thread go)...

I don't know that much about servers and bandwidth usage, but I think the more posts in a thread, the harder the server has to work, so everytime one of the PWs open a thread with that many posts, it has to go through the server first, thus bogging down the site.

I couldn't explain that better if I tried.
