Sometimes its because someone with a similar name or description might be.

Do you have a common name? do you get delayed often? You can request a Unique PIN from the FBI and it'll speed things up for you and help you not get delayed everytime. And then instead of using your Social Security number you'd use that PIN number instead.

Do you use your SSN? Sometimes that helps you not get delayed.

I always get further review, but never delayed.

I guess im luck as it only takes 1 minute for mine to be run and I dont have a common spelling of my name

Seems I get delayed a lot but not enough to deserve a upin. About every 3rd purchase is delayed.

Ha, nope. Its because of my brother and his last job I think. Plus a combination of some of my things too. It sort of started after he got his last job though, so that's my assumption.

Pretty sure if you print off the app for a UPIN and follow the directions they can't refuse you a UPIN. I get further review EVERY TIME I buy a gun, but I've only been delayed once. The time I was delayed it was after 8 PM and I've heard if they are busy they will just delay you until someone looks at it. I got a call from the FFL at 1200 the next day saying come pick my gun up.
