Yup... Too bad you weren't closer I know a few down here that aren't pushy at all.

    I push back, it's fun.:D

I was looking at a Civic at a Dodge dealer and I went inside to see what they were asking for it.

Me: Hi, what are you asking for the 2008 Civic out there?
CS: Do you have your license? How about we take it for a spin?
Me: No thanks. How about you tell me the price?
CS: I don't know that one off the top of my head.
Me: Ok......Can you find out or is it top secret?
CS: Ummmm....Yeah, I can find out for you. Why don't you have a seat over there?
Me: No thanks, I'll wait here.
    2 minutes later.......
CS: We are asking XXXXX for the Civic.
Me: *chuckle* Have a nice day.

I've got a great salesman at the Honda dealer by me, but they haven't had many cars in my price range.:dunno:

I hate buying cars. Last couple I have bought I researched the local lots online, that way I had an idea what they were asking before I drove on the lot. But then, I don't usually look for a specific model.

well good luck with the haggling.

My manager put me in touch with the owner of a car lot around here. I'm stopping by there tomorrow and we're going to look through some of the auctions in this area and see if there is anything good. Hopefully that will go smooth. Seems easier than dealing with salesmen.

I've narrowed it down to one car and model that I want so I've got to search a little more.
