Just don't sporterize the darn thing. And if you do, but another stock, don't you dare chop the original stock

No it was more of buy one to remove the cosmoline off of and shoot and one to leave the cosmoline on and store.

The only "mod" I would do would be to change the buttpad on the stock. and put one of these on it. or something similar.
