The wife's "best friend" who had been nagging me to take their 12 year old to the range without them, either parent coming. wont come to our house anymore because my wife had to go and blab about my ND and now they think it is too dangerous.

I am trying to take it with a grain a salt because their dad, wife's best friends parents wont give them the .22 rifle that he had as a kid because he is not mature enough. I agree with him now.

I built a sand bucket for a reason. Hoped I would never need it but made it none the less. I needed it and glad I had it. I have moved on. If my wife had kept her mouth shut there would be no problem. HTe only thing is she blames me for them not coming over. Not the fact that she told them.

He gave me his theory : a lot of first time gun purchases ( small calibers ), then those who have bought the smaller cal. are moving up. It is an election yr. This fellow is 66 yrs. of age, and like he said, he knows the trends.
