Well here I come Alabama... I'm nervous. I've not been anywhere but my son's house and my Dad's house in 30 years. Not sure how I'll react being let off the farm.

Decided on a 9mm build. I've got everything for the lower except for the magwell block. I'm going to build the upper instead of buying a complete one. I'll probably start a build thread once I slap the lower together.


Next purchase will be the Spike's magwell block and then I'll start on the upper.

Depending on if you want to use a 9mm Hammer or a .223 hammer will decide which bolt you get. I think the only ramped one left that I could find is CMMG (allows use of a .223 bolt). Most of the other bolts you'll have to have the 9mm hammer

Yup. I'd like to keep the regular hammer in case I change uppers/calibers.

That's what I wanted too. Brownells has the CMMG 9mm Ramped Bolt.

Too bad you weren't closer, I could save you a little bit of money on it.


I bought the CMMG 9mm Ramped Bolt. I think the price is about the same, but the Hammer is different.
