My Aussie has good manners like that, but Dad's Heeler, not so much.

She'll go to the edge of the room during a meal, but she's bad at sitting6 to 7 ft away and drooling a puddle on the floor when you have a snack like a cookie or ice cream.

You shouldn't need to sneak out to get one, just have a box of them on hand at all times.

I have an unopened box of them in my deep freezer.

Now that I think about it, that box has been sitting in there unopened for about two months...Time for a change.
