I've got the cold pool covered. I've had to get in my pool when the water was 50* to put the ladder in and clean out the center drain. That was not fun.

50? That's warm! I've jumped in a pool that was around 35*.



OK, alcohol was involved and it wasn't a good idea at all.

For the ~1 minute I was in there, I had to take scalding hot shower for about 10 minutes just to quit shivering.

My BIL fell in his pool last winter. Being the brain he is, he swam across the pool, fighting the cover all the way so he could use the ladder to get out. Did I mention his pool is only four feet deep?

He wasn't lying...You really do go into shock almost immediately.

Yeah, I don't think I would be thinking straight just from the shock of falling in and the temp of the water.
