When the last of the kids animals died, i was relieved. One of the cats lived to around 20 years of age.

Yeah, I traveled a lot with my grand parents as a kid. They were snowbirds for years. Several times I rode back to Florida with them and Gramps loved stopping at HoJo...

This is why the wife and I always carry when hiking out west....well, we pack hiking here too, but especially out west. There are things that can kill you out there.

Really looking forward to our trip out there in May. Since we are driving both ways I can take plenty of clothes, coolers etc and be comfortable.

It's a PITA to fly both ways and live out of your suitcase. When we went out last Aug, it was 8 days. Had to do laundry in the hotel, that was a pain.

Yep...I think I am home for the day. Took the neighbor her therapy and got her settled back in at her apartment. Tomorrow, we go to Valpo if the weather cooperates. I think we are only supposed to get an inch of snow so unless the roads are very icy, we should be good to go.

The therapist took away her rolling walker and gave her a regular one to use. She likes the rolling one with the big compartment under the seat to carry her stuff. I just found a pattern to make a nice bag to hang on the it that will hold her tv remote, cordless phone, etc. so I need to go dig out some yarn and see if I can get it done tonight to take tomorrow.
