    I gotta stick to an $800-$850 budget....With bills + Christmas, the general fund can't make any contributions to the gun fund for the next couple of months.

    I have a hard budget on this one. I think I have that S&W Model 37 revolver sold. If that goes through I'll ad it to the Wifes money and get something next week.
    Are you set on staying with -06? .308 is much easier to find.

    We only had them at Thanksgiving. All my life, Thanksgiving was known as Noodle Day. :)

    Hand made Noodles were a Thanksgiving day deal for us when I was a kid.
    Gramma would do the whole from scratch thing and I would help her roll them out and she would cut them.
    I hated the damn noodles but loved to help her make them.

    Are you set on staying with -06? .308 is much easier to find.

    Yeah, I already have 500 or so rounds of ammo and the reloading stuff. Plus, you get a little more range with a 30-06 than a .308.

    If I did switch to a .308, I'd prob look at the AR10 platform...
