    PITA !!! we have one that tells how many sheets come out per hour .. But now they want speed of machine , machine out put , down time , set up time --- they want to take it out of the operators hands

    Sounds like the system they just set up at our plant. We set up a system of measurement like that because different operators were producing different amounts from the same machine.
    Day shift makes 140 4x4's in a shift
    Night shift makes 82 4x4's in a shift.
    Running the same feed stock, both crews had 2 men. What's the difference??

    They have been working since Labor Day setting up metrics on each machine.
