Morning SAM. Cautiously optomistic. Fever is down again and I think the swelling in my neck has gone down.

How are you doing? Wasn't your neck hurting you yesterday morning?

Dad was a rare whipper. Just a few times over the years. When he did it, it was always the belt and you knew you just got a whipping when he was done.
Mom was a daily basis. She stopped when I laughed and asked if she was done.
Neither ever hit us in the face, or punched.

    Lucky you.........:)

Dad had a skinny belt that left welts. He used it more than he should have.

My mom too.I cut a large dry willow ONCE....it shattered.......SHE cut the next one.........

It was just a belt earlier until about 1970. The 60's had men wearing thing belts and they hurt. About 1970 Dad came across a paddle somewhere and all 5 boys felt that at some time or another.

    Yesterday was my leaf day.

Today is the usual Sunday routine. Church, lunch at the mexican place, then grocery shopping. Back home then.
