I've been catching up on FB. Drug bust a mile away from my house on Friday...meth house. Former teacher from our school who had moved to Evansville...arrested for molesting his adopted daughter. Our world is pretty screwed up.

This guy taught at our elementary school for years...including both of my children. He had a son that committed suicide in 2012...makes me wonder now what role he may have had in that. After the suicide which was said to be accidental death by erotic asphyxiation as he had hung himself...his wife had shared with many in our community a blog that was to educate people about this and the negative effects of porn. The blog described her husband's issues with addiction to porn. I tried to find the blog online last night with the intent of sending the link to the Evansville police, but couldn't find it so she must have deleted it. Many in our community saw it. They are very religious, home schooled the children, etc. and she was passing out these little business cards to everyone and encouraging them to read and share their story.

I am just sickened by the whole thing...and he admitted to the police that he did it after he was confronted.

Hi DB. Is it any warmer out there? The last time I looked it was 49 and a bit breezy. I was going to weed the asparagus, but instead, I am doing junk on the computer.

I saw that mom and the name didn't ring a bell until you mentioned his son. I remember hearing about that.

They used to come in our shop almost every week so I got to know the kids and his wife a bit through that. He always gave me a creepy vibe so this really doesn't surprise me much...angers me, but doesn't surprise me. The daughter was adopted from China when she was six. Cute little thing that knew zero English when she came here. Right after the son died, they sold everything they owned and went to India to be missionaries. A few weeks later, they were back saying it didn't work out. Their church had done all sorts of fundraising to fund the mission...people were not happy when they came back claiming they had lost all of the money, etc.
