No they don't need snow since 1971. They have ice machines built into the stainless steel runs. They close at the end of February. I guess yesterday was horrible. the ice had to keep forming, but was REALLY rough.

I did find some metal in the ground out in the woods which got the wife fired up about detecting again. We went back out in the woods this afternoon. Long story short we excavated body parts from an early vehicle of some kind. Probably model T era.

that sounds cool, Leadeye!!! I had a friend 10 or 12 years ago that had some nice metal detectors. I was able to go with him a few times, but he moved back to Minnesota.

Wore me out digging all the holes. We found parts to the hood, boot, fenders, and other stuff I couldn't guess. Not much I could do with it, but she enjoyed finding it.

Absolutely true MrsG. We do find junk out in the woods that makes it's way home, this just wasn't one of those times.
