And poles on the road too. Even thought the power line guys get paid well I still feel sorry for them having to work in this kind of weather.

My guess would be older guys getting into collecting stuff they remember, or always thought was cool from the past. After shooting yours, I looked at them for awhile. The condition can vary widely, along with the price.
