I hate being the scheduler...especially when we have a bunch of new guys that I don't even know what they are capable of so I don't know if I can send them to certain jobs. At least we aren't that busy.

When the old scheduler left they didn't even offer me the job...the knew I didn't want it. But now, since I'm the low man on the totem pole (at least of the office staff that can fill in) whenever the current scheduler is on vacation I have to fill in for him. I don't enjoy it.

Yeah, except the problem with doing this job badly is the work doesn't get covered in the field and we risk getting thrown off the job. That means the company looses money. That means I don't get a raise and my profit sharing check is smaller. That is no good.

I applaud you for thinking this way Jagee, a lot of people just don't give a **** and would just do a crappy job and not care. You have thought this through...
