I was pretty satisfied with what I had until I saw your new optic.
Then the wheels started turning and the gears meshed and things picked up speed and then the new to me optic (to match yours) would not fit on the Ruger so more gears and speed and "BOOM"......custom Rem

Went to the camper today. They were supposed to put up my carport for the boat this past week. Originally scheduled for Monday, but they called Sunday and cancelled. I was off Monday and was going to go down, finish up the prep work, attach it to the retaining wall and move the boat in. Since they cancelled, I wasn't driving down there just to do the 15 minutes worth of work that needed done.
They showed up Thursday, but wouldn't put it up because the site wasn't ready. At least that's what I got from the broken English from the installer.

I drove 3 hours round trip to remove the outer 2x8 band board from the deck.

Thats the problem. I'm in Indy, and that's why I couldn't see buying anything bigger than my .308. That's the dilemma.
