I had a cashier $100 short on yesterdays paperwork, so Friday she was short. I would not, could not believe she was short that much money. She is almost always within 25 cents over or under.
My end of day paperwork was $130 short. I have $17 where they tested fuel pumps. $6 on lottery and $7 I can't find. So it all points to her being short. She was just promoted to Assistant Manager at another store. I knew how this could mess that up so bad. SO Yes, I was a bit testy yesterday because as much as I don't want to lose her, I also knew this could get her fired and she is to good a worker to lose.
So my second shift guy found a $100 bill under the cash register he was working on last night. Same register she was running on Friday. That is such a relief, she didn't steal from us. But, this could still potentially affect her employment.
Now though that I have my answers from yesterday, I can call D and see how we handle this.

That has to be a relief.
