Negative. Not sure if I should be concerned.

1 1/2" 6 point deep well socket is what is needed...Of course, I don't have anything that large....

Gonna have to send Mary to the Home Depot tomorrow.....

Put a breaker bar on it an apply the pressure. It should move.

Yep, it wouldn't move a bit with one of those cheap ass element wrenches and a hammer. WH was new in 2012, this is an OE element....No telling how tight they install them in the factory...
On the bright side, no sludge or white water when draining, no signs of a build up....
