uggghhh tonight is the night I get to do the part of my job I hate. Discipline on our 3ed shift guy and gathering info from him, hopefully enough to save his job. He was seen on video taking a pack of smokes, not seen paying for them. We were 22 packs short over the 2 mth period between audits. If he can't prove to us he paid for them, he's gone.

not an option. We have a purchase log that you have to write everything down on, including receipt number. Receipt is kept with your daily paperwork. I was working the morning following him seen on video, he did not pay me for a pack of smokes and there was nothing in his paperwork that he bought any. We've had people fired for not paying for a drink, .55 cents for a friggen drink. You don't steal from the company.

he's making $11 an hour plus his VA disability. I am not sure his percentage on that. but it's not a shabby check.

what got this all started is he was going into the bathroom and spending 10 minutes or so in there when he first clocks in. That leaves the 3nd shift person unable to get out on time. One went over and smelled the smoke. He wasn't happy. So he told us. I smelled it too one morning when I came in early shift. I thought it was a customer until I was told different.

yeah, it's a good system. The purchase logs don't get thrown out either. We have a loss prevention binder they get filed in when they are full.
