yeah, it was just what you did. You wanted things your parents couldn't get you, you worked for it.

WHen I turned 16 I had $1500 for a car. Dad sold me his for $3000 I made payments on the last $1500

Been hustling since I was around 12 years old. Shoveled snow, cut grass, paper route (remember those) repairing Bicycles Mini bikes and go Carts....you name it.

I helped my brother with his paper route before I was 14. he wouldn't pay me willingly.

I mowed the neighbor's lawn once for them and they paid me. Mom made me give the money back. Said you don't take money for helping your neighbors...

I don't like that the neighbor pays the boy to do stuff, but at the same time she becomes offended if he doesn't take it. I have told her she paid him to much and the next time is on the house.
