Uuuhhhggg. House next door has sat empty for a year and a half after the owner suddenly died of a heart attack.

Now we have a family that moved in, Couple with 6 kids aged 14 to 4.

Nice people, but out in the backyard all the time.

The Wife's freakin Chihuahuas aren't used to the noise after it being quiet so long. Every freakin noise brings on a barking fit....:xmad:

When is the next L&S???? I may have some moving targets for us........:):

On the bright side, in driving back from Aurora, IN (where the Trust Lawyer works) I ran across a gas station in Milan, In. that was selling gas for $2.53!!! Both cars were at a half tank, but I still stopped and filled up.

Batesville is at $2.89. Milan, 10 miles away is $2.53?? Explain that to me????

What has the temp been running inside the plant??? That has to be brutal...

In the winter time, on the cast floor (no heat or A/C on the cast floor)

In the summer, on the midnight shift, when the outside temp was 80 during the day

When I was working on a lance crane in #1 BOP, the temperature was 174 degrees.

I could take a little noise, as long as they are courteous neighbors.
Late night parties, garbage in your yard, stuff like that are what I hate.

No, 1st impressions after a week have been good. Just a large Catholic family....

The "trailer trash" family in the neighborhood are gone. "He" went into the Federal Pen and "She" went back to the hills in Kentucky. House is in foreclosure...

This is a "Tube". The steel pours from the Tundish Box to the Mold through the "Tube".

At the top of the tube is a gate. The gate controls how much metal goes through.
So the computer knows where the gate is, there is a position sensor called a LVDT (Linear Voltage Differential Transformer) at the top of the tube, on the gate.
I took this pic when I had to go in to change the sensor (LVDT).
This job only takes a few minutes, but reaches the limit of the clothes that I wear.
(Because I don't work with the steel, I only wear oranges. Production crew wears aluminized coats).

I see a .15 cent variation around Indy often. Sometimes the south side is cheaper, sometimes the north side is. But $2.89 to $2.53 is a $.36 cent difference, that's a hell of a spread from one small town to the next...

Still looking forward to the $2.00 gas they say we will see this fall. Would like to make a roadtrip to Seattle if I can swing it...

it's all about the market. Home market is competitive and usually is always one of the lower sections in town. Interstate is always going to be higher. I've learned a lot since starting to work here about pricing and the markets.
