    Management would always talk about us being lucky to get OT, I told them kindly where they could stick it. I don't like working for $10/hr on the back end.

    Service company want the hours out of every truck when they are available. after 40 you have paid your part of business overhead. It is gravy for them and torture for you.

    They've had me go help several other techs over the last week, or follow up on their calls to fix what they messed up. Think it's time to talk $$. There's less than 12 out of 50 that are real Service Techs, and of that I'd say less than 8 are REAL Service Techs. :D

    The compressor I changed yesterday took 2 techs to diagnosis, 1st guy said it was a bad breaker in the panel. The last guy out took 4 hours to trace the problem. Took me all of 30 minutes to pull it apart and diagnosis it. Then I had to run to Trane in Plainfield to get a compressor plug, contactor and capacitor which the other guy didn't order.

    Bad breaker boy needs to go find a fork lift job.
