    What leak gas after it goes out?

    my furnace lights itself electronicly. You can hear it clicking when the burner starts. But the water heater had a pilot light that had to be lit by hand
    You have to push to let gas thru valve when no flame present.
    You usually have to hold it a few seconds after lighting, to keep the pilot let.
