stayed up late and slept in just a bit

as I was standing at the kitchen window, looking out front this morning. I got to thinking. Hubbies truck is sitting on the street because S flew out to GA Thursday and he took her to the airport. he gave up his coveted spot in the carport for her car so it wouldn't get hit on the street. Even though he can be a total ass, he can also do such simple little things to show how he cares. S isn't his daughter, but he helped raise her from 10y/o on. They love to torment each other. His little girl, and he never wanted a daughter.
then I got a tear in my eye at how lucky we really are, despite everything. We have great kids, family and friends. with that, we can overcome anything

Changed my filter yesterday. Furnace guy said it was dirty but he'd seen worse. He just came over and drank my beer...didn't even do anything to the furnace!

We use the good green washable filters. They work really well.

I'd say 1 beer is worth it when I text him day of and ask if he can swing by and take a look. He has given me some of his homemade beer and wine so it all comes out in the end.
