the 5 had a recall on the battery. Apples website had a place you could enter the serial number to see if its on the recall list.

I did and they say mine is not it and that I had it replaced once already -- I said really , funny I don't remember that

My 4S used to get amazing battery life, like two days solid, until they foisted IOS 7 on me, then it would barely last a few hours. Before I found out about that, though, I had replaced the battery with a higher capacity one, which helped. They've apparently tweaked it some, but it's never been like it was under IOS 6.

I know this one drives me nuts right now , have to carry a cord and adapter every ware I go
