I guess I am just going to have to start saying one big lurker prayer instead of trying to include everyone individually. Sounds like we all could use it right now!

Mrs. G - I had a thought last night. You said your granddaughter is on Prednisone. Tell your daughter to make sure to give her things that are high in potassium. When my son was on steroids, they had me give him stuff to keep his potassium levels up. Bananas and raisins were two of his favorite treats because he ended up eating them all he wanted during those times.

I also tested the nebulizer machine today. It still works fine so just let me know if she needs it.

I talked to her this afternoon. She says as of now, no nebulizer. if that changes though she will let me know.

Getting Miss K to eat anything is a struggle. I will mention that to her though.

Looks like I am staying there Saturday night while Mommy and Daddy have a date night away from home. They won't even be coming home!!

it's been a long time since I have had a baby overnight. well, even a 2 1/2 year old over night. Add sickly on top of that, well.

was today when you went to with Dad or was that yesterday? and how did it go?

It went well. They put 2 new screws in his noggin and removed the old ones which had eroded the skull causing some bleeding and swelling under the eyes.

When my dad was telling the nurses aid about his pain and a couple other things the aid talked over him and really didn't seem to want to listen. That pissed me off and I let him know it. Told him I don't want to ever hear him ignore what my dad says to him again.

As soon as they removed the 2 bad ones dads face lit up like a kid at Christmas. He sat there and smiled

Lady he did the interview with said it sounds like he will transition right in. told him to not give up if he doesn't hear anything right away.

It will definitely do that to you. My son has always had a good appetite but when he was on those stupid steroids, he ate more than everyone in the house combined. How he ended up such a skinny thing is beyond me.
