My Dad and I spent a 2 to 3 hours taking down Christmas lights.
We're half to three fourths of the way done.

And I love that I work at a billion dollar + corporation, and I get woken up this morning.
Co-workers need to get into my locker to get a set of assorted nuts/bolts/washers/screws that I bought out of my own money.
They couldn't finish the job. Cause apparently billion dollar corporations are too busy buying stupid stuff, and can't afford hardware.

Nor sure I would let them in.

What I was saying earlier, bout not being worried about impending temp lay-offs.
I read a few more things.
My "worry" stepped up a notch.

U.S. Steel will idle East Chicago Tin mill, lay off 369 workers

U.S. Steel to lay off more than 700 due to falling oil prices | Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

I'm not real worried. But I've upgraded my worry condition.
If they shut down Gary Works, then my seniority means nothing.
If I hold on, use my seniority to keep my job, then get let go anyway, then those jobs will have been filled by people let go before me.

So I want my building to run for a while, not give them anymore reason to shut it down.

so this morning hubby and I had to go downtown

we were driving west on Washington St towards downtown. They had the right lane closed, flashing lights etc. Could see it wayyyyy back.
So we are in the left lane, waiting patiently to get through it. Gal comes flying up in the right lane. Flipped her turn signal on when she was almost in front of us and started to pull over. Hubby didn't give an inch and actually kept driving forward. She almost hit us trying to get over. Then she flips us off. good example of why I really need out of this city. the anger is getting stupid.

Yup. See people screw up all the time, then act like it's someone else's fault.
Someone apologizes to me now, I almost fall over. Think about putting them on the Christmas list.

did I mention we were in a 3/4 ton quad cab chevy pickup and she was in a little chevy cruze. I think we would have won, regardless.

you are right though. No manners from anyone, anywhere

One thing I have learned though working where I do, don't judge by looks. Some of the most thuggish looking guys coming in are some of the most polite ones in there. Most have a yes mam or thank you mam when I wait on them.

I am not reading the threads but how can falling oil prices effect steel production.
