Is it just the brand name? or is this some special type of mag?

I have an old winchester model 20 bolt 22. Mags are difficult to find and run around $40. Kimber has a mag that fits, but the follower is steel, and tend to run $80. I'm a tightwad.

Factory mags for my High Standard run upwards of $80 when you can find them. Aftermarket mags can be found for $50, but they require a bit of tuning to run right.

Hell I've spent $150 on certain ak mags. So a hard to find hk mag for $100 doesn't shock me
