Yes, Uninterruptable Power Supply.

My power goes through the woods, and I have problems during storms. Tends to dump the computer at inconvenient times.

Well that was fun. Just got home from an emergency run. Had to go from Wanamaker to Greenwood because my wife's van wouldn't start when she got off work. Turned out to be just some corroded battery terminals. Nothing I couldn't fix in a few minutes with a wrench and a pocket knife. After cleaning things up and a jump start, all is well. The van re-started fine when we got it home.

My daughter was mad when I bought her a battery terminal cleaning kit for her birthday last year. She called to thank me when the same thing happened to her in Michigan. Gotta hope for the best, but plan for the worst.
