A lot of the newer stuff IS better.
Modern crane controls and motors have made huge strides.
Which is ok if you're lifting a connex box, or a truck.
Our ladle EOTs and hoists auxiliary hooks are 75 tons.
Main hooks are rated to 325 tons. (650,000 lbs).

The cranes in my avatar can lift 7000lbs seperately.

The Mrs. is a kindergarten teacher...she gets like 1 week a month of being healthy this time a year. The other 3 she is either getting or getting over some kind of bug.

What voltage does those buss's carry.

I'd have to check on those.
Most power equipment uses 250 DC.
But in that motor room, we have 115,000 AC.
I don't know about 1 caster. But the 22 square miles of steel mill uses as much energy as 600,000 to 800,000 houses. (If I remember my numbers right).

A ladle preheater pilot flame is 4-6 foot long, 1-2 foot wide. Just the pilot.
Electrical, 5 minutes here would power my house easily a month.

The hooks we use to lift a ladle weigh 5 tons (10,000 lbs) by themselves.
