In your expert opinion, should I just buy it at full price?
I am hardly an expert. If there is no urgency to buy then I wouldn't jump. When the Christmas credit card bills start rolling in you might find a lot of guns for sale.

A good deal on one of those would be low $500s. To really score though you want to find it starting with 4.
If you're buying a gun you aren't sure you are going to keep I would recommend patience. You want to ensure you are buying at a price where you can recoup your money if you decide not to keep it. Just my opinion.
