I had two big Styrofoam target blocks but I blew one up yesterday. I should have one left in the garage...have to check. You don't want to shoot the trees? (just kidding)

I can't use styrofoam as a target for this crossbow. It goes right through it! I just have a box stuffed with stacks of newspaper and cardboard. I have it packed pretty tight and it stops the arrows pretty well. Only thing is it makes the target kinda heavy.

    Right here.
If you have the space to do it safely and want an extra show, tape a water bottle of gasoline on top of your tannerite. This was less than a 1/2 pound with a water bottle of gas on top...

I'm afraid that would set the world on fire down here...but it sure looks fun!

I'll grab my foam target or I'll stop and get one. :) I'll bring my compound bow, too.

Both my kids have some experience with a real bow. All I ever managed to do with one is embarrass myself and lose arrows. My crossbow is not much different than shooting a rifle so I can manage that.

Well, I bought some scope rings for the old .22 Mossberg Palamino lever action that I have. Now, do I want to mount and zero it this afternoon??,

    Between corn and soybean fields.
Uhh-oh. Went to the LGS, came home with a Remington 870. :dunno:

Oh yeah, they had a deal on #8 birdhshot... so I bought a box (250rounds) for like $55.

So, Remington 870 + 250 shells was around $462 after tax. Not too bad.
