    FFFF!!!! I just got back from a quick trip to the store and as I got in my car and was pulling through the parking lot, I heard a loud hissing sound, at first I thought it was my steering column and my fluid was low, but about 30 seconds later my A/C got freaking burning up hot.:xmad:

    Now I have to find the "leak"(it's more than a leak now).

    96 Chevy truck......needs Compressor......locked up.. 375.00
    Flush and charge bout' 125.00

    89 Camaro......needs Compressor......leaks through clutch. 300.00
    Retrofitted to 134a already. I can charge that one myself.

    Daddy needs some $$$$$$!!!!!!!

    A/C compressors- new OR used- are only as good as the install. Installed properly (replace accumulator/drier, orifice/metering block, flush system, etc.) you're in good shape. Slapping one on without the above can be akin to holding a Glock with the pin pulled. :)
