I think this thing is insulated like your basic barn. Hard to heat and hard to cool. Built to pass code and that is about it.

A spec home is built by the builder on speculation he will sell it. So there are not really many extras. We were in a hurry for a house when we moved back from Texas so did not shop too much.

I do not mean to sound ungrateful. We like it here and this has been a great neighborhood to raise our son in.

We hear a little from 41. The occasional hot rod, jake brake etc. We here the trains a lot more. But after all these years it is hardly noticed.
