now now. Sounds like you have to enter the MAC address into the router for it to work. Just hook a computer up to it. Type 192.168.1.1 into an address bar of IE, firefox whatever and change the settings

I can't find the MAC address to shell's computer.
Where else do I look if it's not on the bottom or under the battery?

depends on the operating system. I assume windows 7??

In the start menu search, type cmd
run cmd
type in "ipconfig /all" (without qoutes) or getmac

start menu, click run.

Type "cmd" hit enter

type "ipconfig /all"

Look for the line that says "Hardware address" or "physical address"

That should be your MAC address

Just hard reset the router. Restore it to factory settings.

Big Boo. I got sick of messing with crazy router settings and all that crap, so I went and bought an "apple airport extreme" (this was when I was using a PC) easiest router setup EVER!
