Just remember...traps dont discriminate. I'd suggest going with something simple and safe like a wire box trap for possum/coon or other smaller land based fur bearers. or if you want to get a little more adventurous try body traps in the water{also known as conibear traps} for muskrat/beaver.
snares and foot/leg hold traps are something I would stay away from.

I think you should wait about a year and then file suit against the school, think of all the lawyer fees you can save that way
